Program Vinterlund 2022

Winter WonderLund is a broad programme of well-known and brand new events in central Lund, from the first weekend of Advent to the last day of the February school break.

Winter WonderLund is a collaborative project between Visit Lund, Lund Municipality, Lund Citysamverkan and the cultural associations and clubs of Lund.

CHRISTMAST TREE PLUNDERING

We will dance around our magnificent Christmas tree to tunes by Romele Blåsorkester. The children in attendance will then be let loose to empty the tree of all of its sweets.

SONGWRITER FESTIVAL “LUND BERÄTTAR”

VINTERGATAN

This year's news! Along Vintergatan, which runs from the Museum of Life in the north down to Stadshallen in the south, there are lots of exciting things happening for the whole family right up until Christmas.

Skissernas Museum

Skissernas Museum, the Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art, will be offering guided tours and creative family activities in December. In the Birgit Rausing Hall, you can give shape and colour to your thoughts.

Kulturen

Christmas at Kulturen starts with the annual Christmas market, the first weekend of Advent. The historic buildings come alive, market stalls sell crafts both indoors and out, and Santa Claus pays a visit on Saturday and Sunday 12:00–15:00. You can also solve a riddle on your own by following a fun Christmas trail. On the days after Christmas, children can try their hand at blacksmithing in our forge, and in January you can enjoy the story of Askepjäsken or join us as we say farewell to Christmas with dancing.

Kulturen, full program

Hökeriet Grocer’s Shop

Visit Hökeriet – the neighbourhood shop of yesteryear. Here you can buy fruit drink, jam, sweets in paper cones and other old-time products with ties to the turn of the last century. Packages from that same time period are on display on the shelves.

Livets Museum

We invite you to a journey of discovery at Livets museum, the Museum of Life!

Can you use clues to find the right objects in the museum? Clues and forms are available at the museum reception. Compete for a gift from the museum shop. Ages: 6–12, but also suitable for younger children accompanied by an adult. Free admission.

Vinterlund in Stadshallen

Right in the heart of the city stands the beautiful Stadshallen, which will have its grand reopening in December after a long period of renovation. We will be offering a sneak peek on 25 November in connection with the tree lighting ceremony.

Lots of fun activities for younger children will be on offer in Stadshallen. Meet Santa and Mrs Claus and give them your wish list – you will then have a chance to win a gift card from Citysamverkan! Cirkusvagnen will be offering fun Christmas crafts throughout the days, and witty students and Lund Comedy Festival will be on hand in a fun rhyming booth 13:00–15:00.

Ice rink

Time to get your skates on! The ice rink at Stortorget opens at Advent and will be open for skating all winter long. Skates will be available for borrowing from Fritidsbanken free of charge Mon–Fri 16:00–20:00 and Sat–Sun 10:00–20:00.
