The 2022 annual EU Days Lund will be held in Lund on September 20-21. After last year’s successful first version of EU Day Lund we are excited to invite you once again. The event is this year two days to accommodate last year’s great interest.

Welcome to EU Days Lund

EU Days Lund is a meeting place for dialogue and exchange of ideas about the future of the EU and Sweden. At EU Days Lund, representatives from the public sector, business, academia, EU institutions, students and the public meet for networking and knowledge exchange. Common European societal challenges are discussed in terms of how they affect society and business in Skåne and Lund and how our region contributes to Europe's future. EU Days Lund 2022 is organized by the City of Lund, Lund University, European Commission's representation in Sweden and Europe Direct Lund in collaboration with several co-organizers.

This year will have the following themes

European security policy, European competitiveness, EU:s digital and green transition, Human rights and European values and the European Year of Youth 2022.

Venues

The conference will take place in Lundagård the centre of Lund. A roughly 7 minutes walk from Lund Central Station.

Day 1

During day 1, the seminars are located at Lund University Hall, Palaestra and AF-borgen.

Day 2

During day 2, the seminars are located at Lund University Hall and Studio Stadshuset.

Registration

Registration opens the 10th of June and closes the 10th of September.

I want to sign up

During the conference, you are free to choose which seminars you will attend. It's first come, first served. The conference offer morning- afternoon coffee and a mingle after the conference on the 20th of September. Lunch at costs will be served at one of Lund's lunch restaurants in the city or at Tegnèrs Matsalar in AF-Borgen. It is free of charge to participate in EU Days Lund 2022. If you are unable to participate, we are grateful that you cancel your place, for the benefit of other participants and to avoid food waste.

Which day should I attend?

The 20th of September

turns to the public sector, business, academia, EU institutions, students and the public. This day will generally be held in English.

The 21 th of September

turns to students, school classes, young people and those who work with youth issues and have an interest in it. This day we call EU Days Youth. This day will be held in Swedish and also offer digital participation to be able to reach out to the classrooms. As a teacher you can register your class for both morning - afternoon sessions or full day.

With its 44,000 students, the university influences Lund's cityscape and culture, and the city is home to several festivals and recurring events. According to the European Commission's report "The Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor", Lund has been named Europe's most creative and cultural city in its size.

Beautiful backyards and squares

The medieval city center in Lund invites to pleasant shopping along lovely streets with taverns, cozy cafes, award-winning restaurants and unique shops with a local touch on both raw materials and product offerings. The environment is characterized by pleasant pedestrian streets, beautiful backyards and squares. Within walking distance, other exciting places to visit such as the iconic and magnificent Cathedral, The Museum of Sketches- which houses the world's largest collection of sketches, models and models of public art - and the stately University Library await. Lund offers a beautiful street scene with lots of picturesque environments that is an experience in itself when you stroll around the city between hotels, arenas and meeting facilities.
