Next of kin
Are you in care of or supporting someone close to you who has a long-term illness, is elderly or who has a disability? There are several types of support you can receive. Some support is free for all, while you may need to apply for other certain types of support.
Support for next of kin
Guidance, supportive talks, lectures, and next of kin groups are part of the support you can receive through Anhörigcenter (the Next of Kin Center). Receiving support through Anhörigcenter is free and you are welcome regardless of whether you support your partner, parent, neighbor, friend, your child, or grandchild. The only requirement to receive help from the Next of Kin Center is that you or the person you support are a resident of Lund municipality.
Assistance at home
Assistance at home means that staff from the home care unit temporarily take over the responsibility of care from you who are a next of kin. This is to give you the opportunity to recover, run errands, or just relax. Assistance or relief at home is a service you need to apply for through a case officer.
