ISLK - International School of Lund is an IB World School authorized to teach the IB Early Years Programme, Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme. The school works in close collaboration with Katedralskolan where the IB Diploma Programme is offered. ISLK is a growing school and has approximately 450 students at the moment. Job description 

Teach and provide planning following the IB MYP curriculum model, using an inquiry conceptual-based approach in teaching and learning in the subject of Individual & Societies (I&S)

Lead student learning within the school community

Guide and support student wellbeing

Work in alignment with the assessment for learning processes

Work in alignment with the standards and practices of the IB MYP framework

Role model the IB Learner profile and mission statement, and the school’s vision

Being a homeroom mentor

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and experience

Certified and trained Individual & Societies MYP teacher

IB training

Certified to teach other MYP subjects

Learning support/inclusive education

Desired qualifications

Previous IB MYP teaching experience

Previous IB DP or PYP teaching experience

Experience of working in a multicultural and multilingual Community

Experience of working with ATL (Approaches to Learning)

Experience with MUN (Model United Nations)

Student exchanges

Desired work experience

Pedagogical work with students age 11-16

Proven strengths in collaboration

Demonstrated leadership skills

The working language at ISLK is English. The applicant must be fluent in English (written and oral communication) and the application must be written in English in order to be considered.

This is a temporary position, 100% during the Spring term (January 8th 2024) to March 22, 2024.

In order to work with children or students in a preschool or school setting, you need to be able to present a verifiable extract from the criminal record database.
